Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
Carl Jung
Through our conversations, the presenting issue, goal or challenge will be established.
Together, we will look at and begin to understand the underlying reasons for your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
My approach is grounded in understanding how attachment experiences shape the unconscious and affect all areas of health and wellbeing.
Our early life experiences and adaptations, especially the ones absorbed unconsciously, shape how we come to know and see ourselves, our coping strategies as well as how we relate to others. They also influence our current life patterns, difficulties or obstacles. These could include feelings of overwhelm, procrastination, depression, anxiety, bodily illness, inflammation, tension, substance misuse or using other coping strategies that feel unhealthy or out of control. You might feel like you chronically people please, that you play it safe in life, that you have emotional outbursts or that you have ended up in a similar relationship pattern or environment as your past. When these patterns remain unseen, they can run the show, when they are understood, we have the control.
I am able to listen and hear on a deeper level and am able to see a bigger picture. I can help you make sense of your inner and outer world by helping you see your less conscious parts, not to judge them, but to understand and integrate them.
We will also explore self awareness and capacity building tools such as journaling, dream work, breath work, meditation and being in nature. As well as the main pillars of health – nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and relationships.
When the conscious and unconscious learn to know, respect and accommodate one another, a person becomes whole, integrated, calm, fertile and happy.
